DJI’s Mavic Pro: A Pocket Drone Launching Oct 16th starting at $749 – $999 – $1299
DJI just announced the Mavic Pro. I’m late for work but here are the cliff notes. Order online for Oct delivery. Get obstacle avoidance, 4K built in camera, and a 27 minute flight time. Three bundles start the drone as little as $749, but you’ll need the $999 package to get the RC to fly it (otherwise you can fly it by tapping your phone screen). At $1299 you’ll add-on some extra props, two batteries, and special charger. I’ll update this more a bit later but in the meantime check out the launch video.
Drones are being a great alternative to traditional cameras but I believe that the passion of photography can be better satisfied using the simple cameras rather than the drones one.
